My name is Sarah Richards and I am really passionate about learning! I have had experience working with children ages 6 to 12 years of age in my role as a teacher aide, teacher, and online tutor.

Through these experiences I have learned a few components that I have found to be integral to providing opportunities for children to feel like that have successfully reached their own personal learning goals.

Firstly, I like to begin with checking in with students, reflecting on past learning and setting learning goals.

Secondly, through building a rapport with each child I aim to provide learning experiences that are authentic and relate to their real-life experiences to assist them in making connections between concrete and abstract ideas.

Thirdly, different learning styles and pedagogy to match the specific learning needs and interests of each child, find ways to inspire their curiosity and encouraging them to take risks in a safe and supportive learning environment. Lastly, I have a real enthusiasm for learning, and I hope to pass on that excitement to all students that I work with in the future.
